Establishing 'The Rich’s Partnership' at Sir Thomas Rich's Grammar School

Sir Thomas Rich’s School based in Longlevens, Gloucestershire was looking for ways to build closer links with the business community and raise much-needed funds for the school when they approached Orchard Fundraising.
​
Our principal consultant, Sam Watson, worked closely with the school to assess their needs and compile a corporate sponsorship package which would attract the most relevant and suitable sponsors.
We identified the schools' strengths. Then advised the school to focus on these key assets when it came to attracting the sponsors we had researched and were best suited to the school.

Sir Thomas Rich’s Grammar Schools’ key assets were identified as:
​
- A reputation for academic excellence,
​
- Sporting success,
​
- A global parent and alumni network.
​
Once these were defined and a clear strategy was in place, we then devised a four-tiered corporate sponsorship package, allowing companies to annually choose their level of financial commitment and how this is publicised.
At the same time, every partnership is bespoke and companies have the choice to contribute in a number of additional ways, for example through work experience placements, careers advice and staff offering mentoring.
In return, companies are part of Sir Thomas Rich’s Business Network, staff attend school events and engage with their community outreach work.

Within the first year of us working with the school and gaining sponsors - The Rich’s Partnership was raising £23,000 p.a. from its large portfolio of corporate sponsors. The partnership continues to support education and school facilities development for both pupils and the local community.
