Marking 10 Years of Orchard Fundraising

19 January 2026|

Update: Nominations for 10 for 10 are now closed following a high level of interest.

As we celebrate ten years of Orchard Fundraising, we’re marking the occasion by offering pro bono fundraising support to ten grassroots organisations.

Over the past decade, we’ve worked with many small and medium-sized charities and seen first-hand how challenging it can be to deliver vital work with limited time, capacity and funding. When this is the case, a little support can go a long way. Having an experienced fundraiser on hand can give these charities a chance to step back, build a realistic, tailored, funding plan and move forward with confidence.

Ultimately, 10 for 10 reflects our belief that experience, time and thoughtful support can make a meaningful difference and we’re excited to see what we can help achieve.

Our Pro Bono Fundraising Work

Our pro bono work began during the Covid pandemic, when many small charities were forced to adapt overnight to keep serving the people who relied on them. We supported an organisation shifting from face-to-face services to food deliveries for isolated older people, and later helped secure funding for digital and telephone therapy for carers supporting people with complex eating and swallowing disorders.

As the longer-term impacts of Covid became clearer, some organisations faced deeper challenges around stability and funding. For Action East Devon, our support came at a critical moment, helping the organisation respond to the aftermath of Covid disruption, stabilise its position, and begin building greater organisational strength and continuity

Since then, we’ve continued to offer pro bono support to one charity each year, working alongside them at pivotal moments. From strategic fundraising support for Windmills, helping the organisation build capacity and stability, to targeted work with Gloucestershire Bundles and most recently, The Launchpad Collective, the focus has always been the same: thoughtful, experienced support at the point it can make a difference.

While every charity is different, and therefore so is the support we offer, they all share one thing in common: they’re rooted in real community need and driven by care for the people they support. And they’ve all helped shape how we think about our personal experience, responsibility, privilege, and the role a consultancy like ours can play.

What Is 10 for 10

Through 10 for 10, we’ll be offering a short period of focused, pro bono fundraising support to ten grassroots organisations.

The support will be practical and tailored, shaped around what each organisation needs most at that point in time. This might include help stepping back and reviewing fundraising plans, identifying and prioritising funders, strengthening a case for support, helping write a few applications, developing a digital fundraising plan, or building a clearer funding pipeline for the months ahead.

The aim isn’t to provide everything at once, or to promise quick fixes. Instead, it’s about offering experienced, thoughtful input at  a point when it is useful to you, helping charities gain clarity, direction and confidence to move forward.

Let’s Make a Difference Together

We’re inviting nominations for grassroots charities who could benefit from pro bono fundraising support through 10 for 10. This initiative is intended for small, UK-based organisations that are properly registered and rooted in real community need, often delivering vital work with limited or no fundraising capacity. We’re particularly keen to hear about charities that are open to collaboration, reflective in their approach, and ready to make the most of focused, experienced support.

If this sounds like your organisation, or a charity you know and admire, we’d love to hear from you. You’re welcome to nominate your own organisation, or put forward a charity you think would benefit from pro bono fundraising support.

You can find out more and complete a simple nomination form here, or email us directly at admin@orchardfundraising.co.uk with your name, the name of the charity you’re nominating, and a short paragraph outlining who they are, what they do, what they want and how you think they would benefit from support through 10 for 10.

We’re really looking forward to hearing from you and learning more about the organisations doing such important work in their communities.
